About The Team

Amanda

Qualified dog trainer, long long adventurer and founder of Waggy Travels

’My journey didn’t start in a classroom. It began with a dog named Marvin. After spending his first two years tethered and terrified of the world, Marvin found safety in a shelter, and I found my true purpose in helping him heal. While recovering from a snowboarding injury, I visited Marvin every day for eight months. We went from a few shaky steps outside to full forest treks and river swims. Marvin taught me patience, resilience, and the power of real connection.

Since then, I’ve earned my qualifications and gained 6 years of hands-on experience, volunteering, fostering, managing kennels, working in both private training facilities and council-run impounds.

Throughout this journey came Waggy Travels, a dog training and adventure based aftercare service built on lived experience, compassion, and a commitment to helping dogs and humans thrive by building trust, confidence, and a life of unlimited adventures.

We specialise in post-adoption support, large breeds, and reactive behaviours, but we also work with all dogs and owners who want a stronger bond, clearer communication, and training that creates lasting, real-world results.

Our methods are balanced, instinct-led, and purpose-driven supported by a trained pack of former rescue dogs.
